Join us for Legal Lunch & Learn!  This session will include two topics- “Ohio Workers’ Compensation – The Basics (and then some) for Nonprofit Organizations" and "Independent Contractors". If your organization could benefit from employment law seminars, bring your lunch and join us at the Toledo Bar Association for this free informative session. Learn the guidelines of worker's compensation laws, how to appropriately classify workers, how to avoid the misclassification trap, and what to do to fix existing misclassifications.

Presented by Kimberly Kondalski, Esq. and Emilie Vassar, Esq. (Eastman & Smith)

Kimberly Kondalski, Esq. is a member of Eastman & Smith in Toledo, Ohio.  Ms. Kondalski concentrates her practice in the areas of workers’ compensation law and employment law and has represented clients in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, including state-funded and self-insured employers. Her litigation experience includes appearances in federal and state courts, trial and appellate levels. She currently serves as an impartial hearing officer in K-12 special education matters.

Emilie Vassar, Esq. practices law at Eastman & Smith in its' Employment and Education practice areas. She earned her law degree from Boston University School of Law in 2008. When not practicing law, Ms. Vassar can be found chasing her two young daughters or at one of the many offerings of Toledo’s performing arts community, particularly the Toledo Symphony and Toledo Ballet.
