Job Summary

The Adult Day Services Program at River Crossings, operated by Josina Lott Residential & Community Services, aims to raise the standards of personal skill development, community integration, self-determination and the availability of vocational opportunities offered to individuals living with developmental disabilities.

We are currently seeking a full-time Adult Day Services Specialist / Job Coach to supervise and assist individuals served by Josina Lott in activities and programs as outlined in each person’s service plan and daily schedules, and assuring active treatment is completed. Employee will also provide transportation utilizing up to a 15 passenger company vehicle, transporting and assisting individuals to and from work and also on community outings.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Encourage individuals to participate in recreational and leisure activities, as well as vocational opportunities.
  • Implement and document individuals programs as Outlined in their plans
  • Supervise individuals during hours of work program and assist with toileting or and other needs throughout the shift as necessary.
  • Responsible for transporting individuals to and from work, as well as community outings.
  • Assist individuals with developing their social and work skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with job coaching, teaching, or activity planning for individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience instructing groups and facilitating activities for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience and knowledge in assessing the abilities of adults with developmental disabilities and matching their abilities to their work skills and interests.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
